eRank Tool Review 2026: Strengths, Real Limits, Cheaper Alternative
I'll be upfront: I build TEOM, which competes with eRank. So instead of opinions, this review sticks to what you can check yourself on eRank's own pages, and it says plainly where eRank is the better choice.
The verdict in two lines: the eRank tool is a reliable, long-running Etsy SEO toolkit (since 2016) with a usable free plan and paid plans at $5.99, $9.99 and $29.99 a month. Its limits are per tool and its focus is keywords and listing optimization; if you mainly need product and market decisions, TEOM does that job for less, at $5 or $9 a month (planned).
What you get with the eRank tool
From eRank's help center and pricing page, the toolkit covers:
- Keyword Tool and keyword lists: average searches, clicks, CTR and competition, based on 12 months of Etsy data.
- Listing audit: checks title, tags, attributes, description and stats on listings in your connected shop, and flags misspellings, one-word tags and missing images.
- Competitor tracking: follow other shops (5 on Basic, 50 on Pro, 200 on Expert).
- Trend tools and a Chrome extension that shows data while you browse Etsy.
- Multiple marketplaces: eRank says it covers more than a dozen, including Amazon and eBay.
Do this today: list the three tools you'd open weekly. If none of them are on the list above, you don't need eRank, whatever the price.
The real limits, plan by plan

The important detail: each allowance is separate. Basic gives 100 keyword lookups and 50 listing audits and 5 tracked competitors. That's generous if you use all three; it's less useful if you only use one.
Annual billing lowers the cost: $65.99 a year for Basic, $94.99 for Pro, $269.99 for Expert.
Strengths
- Maturity. Nearly ten years of Etsy data and a big help library.
- A real free plan. 5 keyword lookups and 5 audits a day, no time limit.
- SEO depth. If tags and titles are your bottleneck, it covers the ground.
- Breadth. Chrome extension and multi-marketplace coverage.
Limits worth knowing
- Keyword-first view. Search volume tells you what people type, not whether there's room for a new seller at a decent price.
- Per-tool caps. Heavy use of one tool can hit its cap while the others sit unused.
- Free plan scope. 1 shop, 50 active listings analysed, no competitor tracking.
- The bill grows with breadth. Expert, at $29.99 a month, is where the big allowances live.
None of these are flaws, exactly. They're the shape of a keyword tool.
The cheaper alternative: TEOM
TEOM is built around the market rather than the keyword.
In TEOM: search any product idea and get demand and competition ratings, median price, share of new listings, share with zero favorites, and every listing ranked by opportunity with estimated monthly sales and revenue.
In TEOM: "What should I sell?" scans the niches you give it, finds gaps where buyers are active but the ranking listings are weak, and writes 3 original listing drafts (10 on Pro).

| eRank | TEOM (planned) | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 5 lookups + 5 audits/day | 10 searches/day, every tool |
| Entry | $5.99/month | $5/month, 100 searches/day |
| Next | $9.99/month | $9/month, 250 searches/day |
| Counting | Per tool | One counter for all tools |
TEOM is free during early access; nothing is charged until paid plans launch and you pick one.
Do this today: if you're on eRank's free plan and keep hitting the 5-lookup wall, try your next week of research in TEOM's free plan and compare what you learned, not just what you looked up.
FAQ

Free costs nothing; Basic is $5.99 a month or $65.99 a year.
What's the main difference between eRank and TEOM?
eRank starts from keywords and listing optimization; TEOM starts from live market data: sales estimates, competition, top shops and daily tracking.
